Good location - short cab ride to main shopping area. Short stroll to beach. 1 block to a very good food supermarket. Good air conditioning. Efficient foyer staff. Accommodating room service staff.
No hot water. (It seems that very few hotels in Cartagena have hot water) The room was very cramped and the toilet had just enough room. After the first night I requested a room change to one with more space. My request was accommodated and we enjoyed the remaining 2 nights. Very difficult to communicate with staff as none spoke English. One door-man had a little English and he was able to translate on our behalf.

the view from the balcony
Hotel room did not have a door to between the bedroom and the toilet! The toilet was located in a niche within the room. The whole hotel room appeared 'unfinished'. On our arrival, we did not have a mirror, nor a key to our combination safe. No customer service: they sent us back to our hotel room and asked us to wait for the person who would bring us the mirror. After 1h nobody has shown up and we had to go back to the Reception to ask again. The next day our towels went missing. The pool is extremely small and only open during the day. Not happy with the breakfast either, it wasn't tasty at all and they often ran out of hot chocolate.

Very good location, near the beach. Nice rooms, but due to the humidity, which is very high in the city, some smell lingers all the time. No hot water, no ventilation in the bathrooms. No place to hang clothes, etc. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Nothing! I hate this hotel
I traveled around the world & this is the worst hotel I ever stayed. It's old & unfinished. The room was smelly & moldy. There is no hot water, no closet where do u hang or put your clothes? No internet I have to go down on the lobby all the time. There's a water leak from the ceiling, pillows are paper thin, bed is hard, so noisy kids yelling & screaming all the time. The worst was the breakfast its gross. I got sick the following day. I checked out because I cannot stand the hotel. I went to Hotel Caribe. I feel safer & the breakfast was excellent. I also have friends who come to visit me and wont allow to my room & waited in the lobby while Im fixing myself. do not stay in this hotel. it's a nighmare!!

One towel per person, had to wait for clean towel. Worn-out pillows. No dresser in the room. Sliding door to balcony was off the rail but fixed. Small room, no coffee machine or microwave. Helpful cleaning lady. The rooftop pool offers great views.

Pros: (1) Very good location between the old city and Bocagrande. (2) Good rooftop view. (3) 1 double + 2 single beds + chair in std. double room
Cons: (1) Most hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. (2) Much of the hotel, including parts of our room, appeared unfinished. (3) Our safe did not work. The hotel *eventually* responded to this by giving us the key (!) to our combination safe, and the porter's comments made it clear that this was a common issue. (4) The room didn't smell very nice when we first entered. (5) The pool is very small; it would be OK for kids but is kind of a joke for adults. (6) The hotel has the annoying policy of obliging guests to wear "I'm a tourist; please rob me" wristbands throughout their stay.

it has particularly good central location in restaurants in an easy radius of casa de coliseo. the rooms are reasonably spacious and have excellent views of both the ocean and bay. the staff are helpful and helpful enough, nothing too much trouble. we would absolutely stay here again, thanks a lot for a pleasant stay.

This hotel offers great value for money. The prices are reasonable, especially compared to other places in the city. The staff pay attention to detail and ensure that basic amenities like towels and water are provided promptly. The location is perfect, with several restaurants within easy walking distance and the beach just a short stroll away. Plus, the breakfast included in the stay is a delightful treat, with a variety of local dishes to start your day off right.
No improvements needed.

Perfect Location! near the old town, a block from and to the beach! Beautiful views from the rooms and pool. The hotel has a stunning view from the pool and all the rooms have a water and city view. Stuff were helpful.
The rooms and bathrooms are extremely small, smaller than a normal hotel. I am average size and I felt cramp in the bathroom. The rooms look unfinished.

Only positive thing I can think about the hotel is location.
Really bad hotel. The room was in a really bad condition. Sheets were not clean. There floor had water in some spot. The hotel itself is quite rundown and the bulb in the hallway was not working. I did not feel safe at all. The moment I walked I decided to leave in the morning. The wifi is only available in reception and even that is slow. I booked a hotel for next day went back to my room, slept completely wrapped up in my clothes (I did not feel the bed was quite sanitary) and left at the break of sunlight. Tried to take a shower in the morning, but there is no hot water. If I were to give the hotel a star rating it would be one star or 1.5 star. . If you do not care about safety or cleanliness this might the place for you.
